About me

Yes, I am actually an orphan.

A wayward orphan.

Google lists the synonyms and related words for Wayward as:

wilful, self-willed, headstrong, stubborn, obstinate, obdurate, perverse, contrary, rebellious, defiant, uncooperative, refractory, recalcitrant, unruly, wild, ungovernable, unmanageable, unpredictable, capricious, whimsical, fickle, inconstant, changeable, erratic, intractable, difficult, impossible, intolerable, unbearable, fractious, disobedient, insubordinate, undisciplined

I like that list of words.

I am undisciplined, yet wilful. Stubborn, yet whimsical. Unbearable, yet headstrong.

I am an insubordinate orphan. Unpredictable, self-willed and finds it impossible to give up.

I am an orphan – yet I am the contrary.

  1. absolutely, i have posted a quote from Tori Amos on my home page that discusses a similar concept. It is good to feel and experience the grief and hurt in order to move on.

  2. I often describe myself in poems as having an “orphan-heart”. Having a 2-parent home didn’t offer a sense of love and safety. I have my Heavenly Father’s love now, so that part’s good–and as for the wounds/scars, I just keep bleeding them out in poetry; it’s safe, and sometimes helps others. The Tori Amos quote is good. Wishing you all the best, always.
